Overheard at the Wright’s Household

The Cherubim is a sweet and easy going guy, but he can be stubborn if he doesn’t want to do something.

"No."

He never raises his voice, but he says it very firmly, and the only thing that will change his mind is to count to five.

Once in a while, counting to five doesn’t work. Then, I have to pull out the big gun, which is:

"I’ll call Daddy!"

After a while, I noticed that this works if John is not home. It works if John is already in the room.

The other day John was helping the Cherubim do his homework, and he was not in the mood to do it. "No!" So, I tried, "I’ll call Daddy."  Worked like a charm.

Then John tried it. He said, "Write the numbers or I’ll call Daddy."

Worked like a charm.  ;-)
