When asked as part of a school project, who he would call if he could call anyone in the world, my eldest son picked Jesus. (He wrote the J, backward…so it was written Lesas…but he meant to write Jesus.)

I was touched by this and puzzled.

Touched that my son wanted to call Jesus…puzzled as to whether he thinks Jesus has a phone number. (I guess he took the question to mean ‘anyone in time or space or beyond’ rather than ‘in the world’. )

It came with a funny picture of what I suppose is Jesus in an old fashioned outfit…but it looks like a stick figure in a skirt.
