Nano No Nano

First…I hope to download my daughter’s Halloween pictures today and upload a few of them here. The kids were peepin’ adorable this year. The girls particularly. Ling Shan did her face up with Halloween makeup and looked exactly like one of those Chinese demon masks. She was adorable. Ping-Ping was the cutest mauve pirate in existence, and she got a lovely picture with her brother dressed as Luigi from Mario Brothers.

Second…Nanowrimo — or, for the uninitiated: National Novel Writing Month.   A friend asked if I planned to participate, and I responded that I couldn’t take a month off to write a novel because I had to write a novel.

But then I got to thinking. The goal for Nanowrimo is to write 50,000 words. What if I took the month of November and tried to write 50,000 words on the Young Adult project I am so interested in trying to write.

So, I’m going for it…whether this counts as me participating in Nanowrimo, I’m still a little foggy on, but I am hoping that the fact that others are hard at work will inspire me.
