The Trials of Motherhood

Rushing around to get ready to get out of the house. Had to have a number of things ready. So, I tossed Juss’s clothes at him and asked him to get dressed. He didn’t act on this…he seldom does…so I took his pajamas and left him to put on his clothes.

“Ah! Naked!” Juss yells. “Nobody look at me! I don’t want anyone to see me naked.”

“We’re not looking,” I promise. “Just get dressed.”

An hour later, Orville and Juss come rushing upstairs. Juss is still naked.

  1. I sympathise. This morning my youngest tried to put a shirt on herself, but it got too tangled up for her (she’s two). Then she got angry and tossed it on the ground and refused to let me put any shirt on her. Eventually I had to hold her with my knees and force a shirt onto her. Fortunately, she hasn’t figured out how to get shirts off when the sleeves are too short to pull on, so she couldn’t just take it off again like she wanted to.

And at the moment she’s sitting beside me, fallen asleep on my shoulder. So sweet. :)
