More Movies

I broke my five year streak of seeing nothing and went and saw Slumdog Millionaire today. It was worth it. Very good movie!

Here are some more. I’m sure I’ve seen more I’ve forgotten or never knew the name of. Bold means I’ve seen ’em. Italics means I think I saw it, but maybe I saw the stage play or a different version or something. I’m not sure.

See the Barretts of Wimpole Street. Kiersten recommended it to me. I borrowed it from my local library and it was delightful.

Once I started going to the public library for movies, I hardly ever go to Blockbuster anymore. (It has literally been years.) The only problem I have had finding anything was when I wanted to show Antigone to my sophomores. The only film version they hand within reasonable driving distance was a VHS of a local production of the play translated into Yupic.

We use Netflix…very nice variety for both us and the kids…I’ve only ever not found what I wanted once or twice. I will check our library, though.

I’ve heard that Song of Bernedette is good.
