No, not the pirate, the other one, Dwalin.

I’ve read the Hobbit a dozen times, but I never noticed until John read it aloud to the boys, that Dwalin’s beard is BLUE.

Not black, not brown…blue!

Other dwarves are described as having white, yellow, or red beards…not so odd.

But Dwalin, the first dwarf to visit Bilbo, has a blue beard.

How did I miss that?
