We went to see the new Narian movie. A friend gave us three free tickets that were about to expire, so it wasn’t too expensive. The movie was utterly stunning looking and they did a clever job of taking elements from the original story and rearranging them to produce a plot that drove the story without really deviating from it.
While I did miss a few things (my favorite line was not there, which goes something like: “It’s all right, Eustance, you were just an ass. I was a traitor.”) some of my favorite scenes were done really, really well. What a joy to watch!
Voyage of the Dawn Treader is my favorite Narnia book and Narnia is among my top five or ten books of all time. So, this was a movie of one of my absolute favorite books…and I loved it!
