Big news! This week, the One-Child Policy saw two major challenges in wake of public outrage over Feng Jianmei's forced abortion. We are praying that this signals the end of the One-Child Policy! You can do something about it, too.

Yesterday, the European Parliament voted to pass a resolution condemning forced abortion and gendercide in China. You can read the full resolution here.

Then this morning, the Wall Street Journal reported that a group of scholars and entrepreneurs in China have issued an open letter calling upon the government to change the One-Child Policy. Businessman James Liang said, "From an economic perspective, the one-child policy is irrational. From a human rights perspective, it's even less rational."

The European Parliament's resolution likewise pointed to the one-child policy as a major factor in human rights abuses in China: "The European Parliament…condemns the practice of forced abortions and sterilizations globally, especially in the context of the one–child policy," said the final joint resolution.

We're hoping and praying that the United States Congress, UK Parliament, Canadian Parliament, and other national legislatures follow suit quickly. Will you take a few minutes to call or email your representatives?

Please join us in prayer and take action by urging Congress to adopt a similar resolution. It's time for the policy to end, and by the grace of Jesus, we all have a role to play.
