Twenty for Prayer — July 2008

Again…only for those who care to pray. ;-)

For July, I had planned to write about either weather or health, but this came to me very strongly, so for this month let us know that: “…all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

This came to me very strongly today, and I spent some time thinking about just how wonderful it was…no matter how bad or horrible something seems, if we turn obediently to God, he can turn it into good for all those who love him.

There are so many examples of this in the Bible, Joseph getting attacked and thrown into a pit leads to him saving is family during the famine. Both Peter and Paul, at different times, were thrown into jail, and yet, even that God used to bring good to various people, including, in one case, the jailer, who then turned his life over to God.

So, for this month, every time you feel worried, frightened, frustrated, hopeful, joyful, sad, or tired, remember: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
